TOWN OF WILLISTON
PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, Mrs. Jo Crider, has served the children and citizens of Williston in many ways over the years; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Jo Crider has been a devoted wife to Mr. Jay for 44 years and is also the proud mother of son Bryan and daughter Karen and proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Jo Crider, is an active member of the Elko Baptist Church for 17years and has served as librarian for many years. She also continues to honor her country and community in both church and civic activities such as preparing prison packages and participating in other outreach programs; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Jo Crider has been the Librarian for the Town of Williston’s Library for 14 years in which she has touched many children and adults’ lives by facilitating and giving them the opportunity to expand their reading endeavors; and
NOW THEREFORE, I, THOMAS R. RIVERS, Mayor of Williston, South Carolina, do proclaim Mrs. Jo Crider as Citizen of the Year for 2011.

You could not have chosen a better person. I have known Jo for almost 50 years and she has always been encouraging and honest to everyone that I know. Thank you for recognizing her as the 2011 Williston Citizen of the Year.
